Lessons are prepared in an interesting and easy to understand way for all age group. I have trained under a number of teachers over the past few years and from experience, it is never fun when you cannot enjoy and understand what you learnt. I hope I can offer a new learning experience to beginner – higher intermediate students in such a way that they will look forward to the lessons each week.

The 45mins lesson consists of a combination of ;

1) Theory Section

2) Practical Section

3) Drums & Music Appreciation Section

Lessons are prepared such that students will gain a firm understanding in the basics of music theory and develop good hand leg coordination on the drum set. Not only that, they will also learn & study the various playing styles from different genres thus expanding their musical knowledge. There is a heavy emphasis on the ability to play with the metronome.

– Basic music theory (Sight Reading, Notations)

– Hand stickings

– Essential rudiments

– Quarter, 8th, 16th & triplets grooves and fills

-Hi hat, bass & snare techniques

– Basic 4 way independence

– Double bass beats & fills

– Basic Blues, Jazz, Funk & Latin

– Accent Studies

– Improvisation

– Songs transcription/charting

– Exploring new music

All Rockschool Grade Books

Rock School

Students are encouraged to take up the Rockschool Syllabus to expand their drumming knowledge.

Min Age

Minimum age for Students is 9 years old.

Rates

45mins – $40/lesson or $160 per month of 4 lessons

60mins – $45/lesson or $180 per month of 4 lessons.

Lessons are held at my home studio in Sengkang on a Yamaha DTXpress 4 SP electronic drum kit.

An additional $5/lesson applies if you need me to conduct lessons at your residence in Sengkang, Hougang, Buangkok and Punggol. All other areas within 10km radius from my residence at an additional $10/lesson.
